My name is Connor Johnson, and I’m a senior at Michigan Technological University majoring in Finance and Management Information Systems, with minors in Financial Technology and Computer Science. I’ve always been drawn to mathematics — but more importantly, to how math can be applied in real-world situations, which led me to pursue a path in finance.
Over the past few summers, I’ve worked in the property management space, which sparked my interest in real estate and investing.
On campus, I’m part of the Applied Portfolio Management Program, where I help manage a $4 million endowment fund. It’s an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience making investment decisions and collaborating on market research and portfolio strategy.
At Verde Capital Management, I’m excited to continue building my knowledge of the financial industry, particularly in areas like portfolio optimization, and to learn how I can use that knowledge to help others navigate their financial lives.
Outside of work and school, I enjoy playing golf, watching sports and movies, and discovering new music on Spotify.
