Growing up, I enjoyed mathematics and biology and knew I wanted to pursue a career in the natural sciences. I also felt drawn to entrepreneurship, having participated in startup pitch competitions during my studies and maintaining a keen interest in how business owners operated differently in both their professional and personal lives. This dual passion led me to graduate from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and neuroscience and then earn a Master of Science from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where I studied systems medicine and biostatistics.
My professional career began as a biostatistician for the Department of Public Health at Michigan State University. During this time, I became fascinated by the economic decisions and funding constraints that profoundly impact academic and clinical medicine. I realized that I loved complex systems and wanted to fix them—and to do that, one must understand money as a tool. I knew it was time to make a pivot.
As my interest in economics grew, so did my passion for personal finance. I saw a powerful opportunity to meld my analytical skills and behavioral science background to become a fiduciary advisor. At Verde, I utilize my entrepreneurial spirit to help build a practice that provides the knowledge and expertise necessary to construct lasting wealth that creates real-world change.
I serve as a trusted fiduciary to corporations, institutions, and individuals. I provide personalized care for each of my clients, whether they are launching a new enterprise, scaling a current business, or designing a purpose-centered plan for their family’s future. My goal is to help you build a foundation that empowers you to live an exciting life and fulfill your highest mission.
My work is a profound source of purpose that fuels the rest of my life. I live in Clarkston, MI with my husband. Outside of the office, I actively practice my faith, spend time with family, and pursue my passions for Formula One racing, hiking, and riding horses. If you are ready to experience growth in every area of your life, I look forward to meeting you.
