Get to Know Hannah Bennett

My interest in financial planning began long before I knew it would become my career.

At 12 years old, I came home from my first babysitting job and sat down with my parents to talk about what to do with the money I had earned. At the time, I didn’t realize how meaningful that conversation was. Looking back, it was my first introduction to the idea that the decisions we make with our money can shape opportunities far beyond the moment in which they are made.

As I moved through high school and college, I began to appreciate how uncommon that kind of early financial education was. Many of my peers were entering adulthood and taking on financial responsibility without ever having had a meaningful conversation about saving, investing, or planning for their future. I became increasingly drawn to wealth management because it offered a way to help more people gain not only access to financial guidance, but also greater confidence and control over their financial futures.

My connection with Verde began in 2024, while I was a student at Michigan State University and a member of the MSU Wealth Management Association. I had the opportunity to film a podcast with Carl and Sheeva at the Verde office, never imagining that nearly two years later, I would be returning as a member of the team.

After graduating from Michigan State in May 2025, I spent the past year working in Private Wealth Management in Palm Beach, Florida. That experience further reinforced my passion for the work and made the opportunity to join Verde especially exciting. I’m thrilled to now be part of a team of thoughtful, driven individuals who share a commitment to helping clients take greater ownership of their financial futures.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors in our beautiful state of Michigan, on the golf course, or exploring whatever creative hobby I’ve decided to pick up at the moment.
