My career in banking and finance began long ago when I started a summer job as a bank teller at the National Bank of Detroit. Though many family members had careers in banking, it was not one I expected to pursue myself. The satisfaction of helping others with the most basic part of managing their money was instantly satisfying, as was the pace of the industry.
After graduating from the University of Michigan, though I had considered pursuing other avenues, I joined JPMorgan Chase (then Bank One), where I went on to have a 14-year career. My experience at JPM was wide ranging. I spent 4 years in Retail Banking, where I was a licensed personal banker, helping branch customers with their personal investments and loans. I then went on to join the Private Bank, working with high net worth families. Though I spent time in a few different roles, it was ultimately my passion for providing excellent service that drove to my utmost success.
In 2016, I took an opportunity to build upon this service excellence and began to manage a service team in Commercial Banking at Wells Fargo. After starting off with a team of just 3, I quickly took on additional offices and team members, growing to cover multiple states and 10 team members at the end of my 8-year tenure. Learning to lead team members to success was an incredibly rewarding chapter of my career.
In December 2024, I was thrilled to join Verde Capital Management as a Financial Advisor. I work to help guide our clients through what they need to do to achieve their financial goals and experience success and fulfillment in their lives. In a way, I’ve come full circle since those first days cashing checks; helping clients and loving every minute of it.
I live in Huntington Woods with my husband, Brent, son Zachary, and goldendoodle Rufus. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, attending University of Michigan sporting events, and traveling to new places.
