I am a fourth generation metro-Detroiter who understands the importance of providing the next generation with an even better life than your own. My great-grandfather immigrated to Detroit over 100 years ago to work for the Ford Motor Company. He spoke little English and had no money when he came to America. In his first year of working at the Ford Rouge Plant, he heroically extinguished a major fire at the Rouge Plant by himself that saved a major portion of it from being burned down. His story was detailed in the Detroit News. Later, his son, my grandfather, overcame his own physical disabilities he had since birth to also work for Ford at the Michigan Truck Assembly Plant. He once served over 20 years without a sick day. These men paved the way for my own father, who designed homes, buildings, and infrastructure in the area. Together with my mom, they were able to provide for and give myself and my two siblings many opportunities to pave our own way in life.
I was fortunate to attend Hillsdale College, where my love of personal finance and investing began and grew. I learned at a macro level the importance of free market economics, and at a micro level the importance of taking control of one’s finances and the true magic of compound interest (the 8th wonder of the world). After graduating, I worked as an investment adviser at a wealth management firm in Toledo, where I served clients in helping them achieve their financial and life goals.
While working there, I successfully completed my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, which is recognized as the standard of excellence for the financial planning profession. CFP certificants are required to pass rigorous education, exam, and experience requirements.
I jumped at the chance to join the team at Verde Capital Management because I believe in their philosophy of turning money into life fulfillment, and I am passionate about providing truly comprehensive financial planning to great individuals. When my great-grandfather first came to America looking for work, he had recommendation letters from his former employer with him which read in part, “he seeks to better his position. He belongs to a good family… faithful in the discharge of his duties…Hoping he will meet great success.”
I too, hope to better my position and meet great success, by helping you and your loved ones better your own positions and achieve your own goals and successes. I look forward to serving you for many years to come.
