I am married for 25 years to Mark and have two adult children, one daughter, Emma and one son, Samuel. My happy place is anywhere with them!
I'm always up for exploring somewhere new. I love hiking, I have gone sky diving and used to be a regular scuba diver (I can't do the kind of scuba I'd want to in Michigan though!)
I live for planning my next trip. You will never catch me without at least one trip planned in my future. My favorite places so far are Italy and Kauai.
I am obsessed with my dog, Charlie. I'm that person who will stop to pet any animal!
I've always been drawn to learning foreign languages. I have studied French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Italian, and ASL. Every elective in college was a language for me!
I avidly work to keep house plants alive and am a backyard bird nerd! On weekends catch me with my binoculars identifying birds and working to attract specific birds.
I grew up in Indiana as the fifth of six kids in a family where hard work was a core value. My parents instilled in us the belief that with dedication and perseverance, we could achieve anything. A naturally curious person, I’ve always loved learning new things and connecting with people.
I attended Indiana University, earning a degree in Economics, initially aspiring to work for the Federal Reserve. However, my career took an exciting turn when I joined GE Capital’s Management Development Program during Jack Welch’s tenure as CEO. Over five years, I worked alongside some of the brightest minds, moved to seven different states, and gained invaluable experience in Operations leadership across various GE business units.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in the financial industry, chemical industry, not-for-profit sector, and tech world. Yet, my most challenging and rewarding role was being a stay-at-home mom for 12 years, raising my two children. That time reinforced my skills in adaptability, resilience, and leadership—qualities I bring to my work every day.
With a passion for process improvement, innovation, and change management, I found a natural home at Verde Capital Management. My love for working with people and my background in business leadership enable me to contribute to fostering innovation and delivering an exceptional client experience alongside my incredible colleagues.
I live in Fenton with my husband, Mark, and our pup, Charlie. Now embracing the empty-nester life, we cherish time spent with our two children—Emma, a nurse in Texas, and Samuel, a college student living his best life. Watching them achieve their goals is one of life’s greatest joys. In our free time, Mark and I love to travel, hike, enjoy the beach, and savor quiet mornings with coffee.
